Made an IT focus shift in December 2012 to Information Security, specializing initially on Vulnerability Assessment, Incident Response Management, and Malware Forensics.
For the 16+ years prior to that I was focused primarily on end-point technologies for Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X, and Apple iOS devices. In 2012 I was focused on bringing more OS X devices into a Windows Active Directory environment before handing that responsibility to a more Apple-centric employee. This included ensuring security standards were maintained, new deployment technologies (imaging, application deployment, and patch management) were implemented, and documentation for both end-users and technical support staff was created.
Throughout my IT career I have spent time working with Board Members, C-Level Executives, Upper and Mid-Level Management, as well as employees. I also have some consulting experience, both with internal departments and professionally for other companies. Twice in my career I have had the opportunity to manage teams of 5-10 technical engineers. In both instances my love of technology lead me to ask to return to a senior technology role.
Specialties: Vulnerability Management Scanning, Application Virtualization (ThinApp and App-V), Desktop Virtualization (VMware View, VMware ACE, VMware Workstation and Fusion, Microsoft Virtual PC, and Microsoft MED-V), and client management (SMS 2003 and SCCM 2007, as well as Dell KACE).

From December 2012 to Present (3 years 1 month) Workstation Engineering - Lead Engineer @ Provided off-site preparation and on-site support for our corporate conference in 2011. Worked through the initial logistics for a global PC Refresh Project in 2012. Helped drive the technology advance of OS X devices in a Windows AD environment, including standing up a separate management system (Dell KACE) to support the imaging, inventory, application deployment, and patching of Mac OS X Lion (10.7.2-3). From September 2011 to December 2012 (1 year 4 months) Systems Integration Sr. Advisor @ Focused primarily on the deployment and management aspects of the Windows Desktop operating system and the accompanying applications. This includes Microsoft Office 2010, Windows 7, VMware ThinApp, and Microsoft App-V, as required. Documentation for both end-users and technical support staff was either edited or created from scratch in support of client projects.
Delivered a Windows 7 / Office 2010 Migration Planning Project as well as supporting the deployment and reporting of the Dell eSMART product to customers to aid in application rationalization. From October 2010 to September 2011 (1 year) Consultant @ Providing workstation focused services to clients as a Dell-badged contractor in a contract-to-hire position. My duties included, but were not limited to:
