About John Donovan

John Donovan brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to supporting veterans in his role as a Board Member at Bravo Zulu House, a pioneering sober living facility set to open in Winnebago, MN, in the fall of 2024. With a background that includes co-founding the Recovery Community Network (RCN) and serving as the secretary of the Minnesota Alliance of Recovery Community Organizations (MARCO), John is uniquely positioned to address the critical challenges faced by veterans struggling with substance use and PTSD. His leadership at Bravo Zulu House aligns with the organization's mission to wage a "War on PTSD," recognizing it as a significant barrier to achieving and sustaining long-term recovery.

John’s extensive skills in military operations and team building, honed through years of service in the U.S. Department of Defense, enable him to effectively advocate for veterans' needs and foster a supportive community environment. His expertise in public policy and communication further enhances Bravo Zulu House's initiatives, ensuring that the voices of veterans are heard and that their unique challenges are addressed through tailored recovery programs. By leveraging his background in security and military training, John is dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing space for veterans to heal and rebuild their lives. As Bravo Zulu House prepares to open its doors, John’s vision and leadership will be instrumental in shaping a transformative recovery experience for those who have served our country.
