In that role I designed and develop supportive services and products that would expand the organizations ability to support its customer base. The position involved analysis of trends and needs with in the post-secondary environment related to accessibility services. Collaboration with other departments and leadership to enhance the projects and improve organizational communication among staff and partners. Highlights: assistive technology assessment services, customer communication, faculty services and departmental collaboration.Based on a merger and and my work in L&D I was asked to merge with Tools for Life Georgia's Tech Act program which is nationally recognized for it's work in assistive technology services and reuse. My new role as TechMatch Manger affords me the opportunity to help build capacity in the network of programs around the state and to develop tools and learning environments that have national influence. From July 2010 to July 2013 (3 years 1 month) Greater Atlanta AreaManager, Training / Membership / Development @ The University of Georgia Recruited to join the Alternative Media Access Center (AMAC) a Board of Regents project that provided alternative media and assistive technology services to post-secondary institutions. My role began as a Trainer Manager where I worked with a team to develop training and supportive systems to deploy training services. I routinely interfaced with members around the state to insure their understand of the service, to support students receiving the services as well as outreach to build membership, As the program grew training responsibilities were passed to the expanding customer support unit. I was recognized for my skills related to our customers, training and outreach and was promoted to the position of Membership and Development Manager. I was involved in maintaining quality service and building new customers as the program grew. I was also involved in the sales and implementation of the Student Accommodation Manager software; which assists disability service offices to track their activities and maintain excellent records related to the students they serve. I grew these opportunities and eventually staff were hired to maintain the responsibilities; including a Membership Coordinator, Salesperson and a Sales Consultant (SAM). In 2010, the program was moved from the University of Georgia (Athens, GA) to The Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. From April 2008 to June 2010 (2 years 3 months) Athens, Georgia AreaExecutive Director @ Tech Able Managed all activities of the non-profit including service provision/development, financials, daily operations, collaborated and built relationships with other community programs and organization.Since 1989, Tech-Able has provided individuals with disabilities, their families and support professionals access to Assistive Technology devices through our Lending Library, Demonstrations, Training Classes and Information and Referral.
