About Jim Damico
💼 Past Experience
After spending most of his childhood in the Boston, MA area (including spells living in Cambridge, MIT and Framingham), Jim D'Amico returned to his birthplace in 1998 and began his career as a sales representative with Phelps Dodge. In his first position, he was responsible for developing and managing client relationships in the energy and petrochemical industries. He held many sales and marketing positions with Phelps Dodge until he was promoted to Talent Acquisition Leader in 2002.Under his leadership, Phelps Dodge became a global authority in talent Acquisition. In 2003, they became the first company in the history of the United States to be named TAA™ Champions, and they have been awarded upwards of 20 consecutive TAA Trophies. In 2007, D'Amico was named the Senior Recruitment Manager for the Company and he led the development of Covidien America into one of the most successful talent acquisition organizations in the world. As Senior Recruitment Manager, D'Amico was responsible for developing and implementing strategies for acquiring and wooing top Talent from a wide variety of industries. In addition to his successes with Covidien America, he also worked on developing strategies for Hispanic American and Asian American employees.Jim D'Amico is now a Talent Strategist with Raconteur, a strategic services firm that works with Fortune 500 companies in talent Acquisition. He leads the firm's outside business, which provides executive search, onboarding, and retention consulting. With Raconteur, he is responsible for helping businesses winnow down their talent acquisition efforts, identify and assess talent needs, and develop value-added solutions. He has also participate in numerous interviews and presentations on the topic of talent Acquisition.Jim D'Amico has a degree in Business Administration from Brigham Young University and a Master's in Strategic Studies from Harvard University. He also has extensive experience in the fields of Sales, Marketing, and Strategy.

Jim D'Amico is a talented comedian and actor. He started his comedy career in Cleveland, Ohio playing various comedy clubs around the city. He soon rose to prominence with his critically acclaimed stand-up comedy specials and newly released albums. He has since toured throughout the United States and Europe, writing jokes for late night TV and in front of thousands of people.D'Amico has worked in a number of stand-up comedy clubs throughout his career, and has received critical acclaim for hisshowmanship, storytelling, and writing. He has performed at Madison Square Garden, Tipitina’s, and The Comedy Pub among others.D'Amico is currently in the final stages of filming his new comedy special, "So You Think You Can Dance?" which will air on streaming services soon. Jim is highly exited to begin the filming of "So You Think You Can Dance?" and is excited to work with the hilarious cast and crew. He is also schedule to begin rehearsals for "Cheers" in the coming weeks.
