Duties covered included claim investigation and corrective actions, FMEA, ISO 9000 compliance, review and approval of daily production data including chemistry and mechanical test properties, review of incoming orders, tracking missing or unidentified product, and some supervisory duties. While in still in my first year with the company, took the lead on a large-scale defect resolution team, eliminating one specific surface defect that had previously resulted in over $1,000,000 worth of scrapped product annually. From June 1997 to December 2001 (4 years 7 months) Metallurgical Intern @ Acme Steel Performed a variety of quality-control duties at an integrated steel mill facility, spanning 3 locations in the Chicago area.
