Jasen Peterman's Work History:Jasen first landed his feet on the ground with the help of his parents when he was just a child. From that moment on, he knew he wanted to have a career in engineering. As Jasen progressed in his education, he realized that the field of engineering wasn't just for people with a four-year degree. He eventually earned his engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2014. Since earning his engineering degree, Jasen has worked throughout various engineering roles at Facebook. He has held key positions such as Engineering Manager, Release Manager, and an Insights Agent. Each position he has held at Facebook has allowed him to learn and grow as an engineer. He has also been a part of several company-wide initiatives which have helped him learn more about Facebook's products and systems. In his current role as Engineering Manager at Facebook, Jasen is responsible for ensuring that all Facebook products are meeting the company's high standards and meeting the needs of its users. He also oversees the development of new Facebook products, as well asizes improve the performance of existing Facebook products. Jasen's career path has been filled with many challenges and setbacks. Despite these challenges, he has always worked relentlessly to improve his skills andiana career. Jasen is an experienced engineer and is confident in his abilities to work with a team. Jasen Peterman's education began with a Master of Science in Human Centered Design & Engineering from University of Washington in 2008. Peterman then attended Oregon Institute of Technology in 2011 as a B.S. in Software Engineering Technology. during his time atOregon Institute of Technology, Jasen Peterman's major concentration was in Human Centered Design & Engineering. After 5 years of work at AmazonBasics, Jasen moved on to Facebook, where he has since become a Engineering Manager. He is responsible for managing the engineering teams and ensuring that applications run efficiently and predictably. In this role, he is able to collaboratively develop and maintain applications, ensuring that Facebook remains always able to function at its best.In his free time, Jasen enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and dogs.
