Janet Anthony, a distinguished musician and educator, has dedicated her life to the transformative power of music, particularly in underserved communities. After an illustrious 34-year tenure as a Cello Professor at Lawrence University, where she held the prestigious George and Marjorie Olsen Chandler Professorship, Janet transitioned from academia to a mission-driven role in Haiti. As the Co-Founder and now Executive Director of BLUME Haiti, she has been instrumental in shaping the organization’s vision and impact since its inception in 2012.

Under Janet's leadership, BLUME Haiti has emerged as a beacon of hope and opportunity, collaborating with both Haitian and international partners to foster leadership development and awaken individual potential through music education. The organization currently supports 43 programs, reaching approximately 5,000 children annually across eight of Haiti's ten departments.
