Haley Neel

Haley Neel is a dedicated and highly skilled Pediatric Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse at UF Health, where she plays a crucial role in the care of critically ill patients ranging from neonates to young adults. With her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and extensive experience in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, Haley specializes in managing complex cases involving preoperative and postoperative cardiac surgery, heart transplants, and various forms of cardiovascular support. Her expertise encompasses a wide array of clinical skills, including the management of open-chest patients, chest tube care, and arterial blood gas interpretation. Additionally, she is proficient in handling advanced medical devices such as ventricular assist devices (VADs) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), which are vital in supporting patients with severe cardiac conditions.

Currently, Haley is pursuing a full-time doctoral degree in nurse anesthesia, with an expected graduation in Summer 2023. This advanced education will further enhance her clinical acumen and expand her ability to provide high-quality anesthesia care to pediatric patients.
