I am currently a Junior Technical Worker at Lyft. Lyft is a ridesharing company headquartered in Austin, Texas. Lyft is responsible for providing transportation services to citizens in the United States and Canada. Lyft connects drivers and passengers with drivers who are currently licensed and insured. Lyft also offers discounted fares for riders who are in the majority black and brown populations. My main responsibilities as a Junior Technical Worker at Lyft are ensuring that products and technologies used in the Lyft ridesharing experience are up to date and meets the needs of the passengers. Now that Guillermo Arellano has completed his undergraduate studies, it is important to consider his educational background and work readiness. Arellano graduated from Weslaco High School in China in 2013 with honors, coming in top 10% of his class. After graduation, he moved to the United States, enrolling at Ohio State University. There, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science. While at Ohio State, he also played on the varsity basketball team and worked on his Internship in the Optical Engineering Department.Arellano's past education gives him the skills and experience to flourish as an information technology professional. With his undergraduate degrees and experience in computer science and engineering, he has the ability to mold himself to the needs of the information technology field.
