* Used Bootstrap to establish a set of front-end conventions. This let us customize pages that were key to the business, but rely on effective out-of-the box behavior for secondary pages.
* Managed the systems behind collecting and storing hundreds of artists, and more than 10,000 individual pieces of art. This involved using S3, custom image processing, and an internal admin UI. From June 2012 to March 2013 (10 months) Greater Boston AreaFront-End Web Developer @ * Implemented a redesign of amalur.com. This included building an interactive zooming map with custom jQuery plugins, configuring a drupal content store, and using a ruby-based static site generator to deploy packaged site builds.
* Participated in development activity leading up to the launch of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Included integrating sites with Akamai’s CDN to ensure the site remained responsive and functional while receiving 800k monthly unique visitors. The project was built as a rails-based frontend that communicated with a REST API for product searching, trade-in price calculation, and checkout.
* Built a themeable frontend for the site's functionality. This was used to work with a number of companies like Walmart, Amazon, and eBay to launch and grow branded trade-in sites.
* Spearheaded the use of Ubuntu-based virtual machines for development. This ensured that sites were built against a standard environment and decreased the overhead of bringing new developers onto a project.
