OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDYThe study sought to understand the objectives of the designers who have worked at CityStructure.net, and to identify any trends, areas of emphasis, or specific techniques they use that they believe sets CityStructure.net apart from other similar websites.RESULTSThere were a few areas where the designers of CityStructure.net differed from other websites. One design preference was for using AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, Adobe Suite, and Passive House software to create designs. They also preferring to work with multiple software programs interchangeably to maximize efficiency. Designers also often stressed the importance of good communication and collaboration when designing, which helped to ensure that all team members were able to work together seamlessly. This helped to create a cohesive, high-quality design process.Another important differentiator for CityStructure.net was their use of Grasshopper to create mixed-use designs. This software allows for the creation of buildings that are both inside and outside of the same space, which is often specific to urban environments. This style of architecture helps to create a more usable and inhabitable space, and is often used in high-traffic areas.

After 2 years at NAC, Felicia Nitu started working at Solar Decathlon. During her time at Solar Decathlon, Felicia Nitu was the Operations Manager. Felicia Nitu then became the Company’s CEO and also founded CityStructure. Architecture. From May 15, 2011 until May 16, 2016, Felicia Nitu was the Principal at CitySTRUCTURE DESIGN LLC. From May 11, 2011 to May 16, 2016, Felicia Nitu was the Designer at Wenzlau Architects. Felicia Nitu left Wenzlau Architects to become the Manager of the Office of the Mayor in Columbia, MO. From that position, she was responsible for all aspects of real estate development in Columbia, MO. Felicia Nitu also holds a Master’s degree in Real Estate from the University of Missouri,Columbia.
