💼 Past Experience

I am currently a Guitarist at Clarkston Community Church from 2001 to 2006. I played in the band for 5 years and then left to go to school. I then returned to play in the band until 2009, when I left to work full time. I then left to go to work at Hyundai Motor America. I was responsible for sales and marketing of Hyundai vehicles through 160 dealers in a region that covered the 12 westernmost states including Hawaii and Alaska. I also was responsible for environmental engineering at Ohio EPA from July 1989 to January 1992. I developed water quality models, issues NPDES permits, inspected waste water treatment plants,developed specs for new waste water treatment plants, and executive director at genesis motor america from January 2016 to February 2019. I also overseer the operation of genesis motor america from May 2010 to January 2014, and from January 2014 to March 2016. In this role, I was responsible for the engineering and quality of new vehicle models, pre- Delivery QC for fully assembled vehicles, engineering and quality of current production vehicles, continual improvement of the quality of production vehicles, design coordination and delivery of technical training and support for almost 5,000 dealers, leading the warranty procedures, operations and cost control, and Presenting andhead of Central Maintenance and Facilities. I am also a registered environmental lobbyist in Ohio. I have also held various other positions within the company. From General Manager of McGraw Glass, to General Manager of Jefferson North Assembly Plant, to Director of Sales and Marketting. I have also been responsible for the day to day operation of the dealership. Assistant General Manager, Toyota Motor Mfg, Indiana at Chrysler LLC from January 1996 to January 2001. I was responsible for the day to day operations of Toyota's plastics manufacturing operation as well as the Paint Failureity within the Vehicle Assembly Plant. I concurrently served as the head of Central Maintenance and Facilities for the Complex. Manager - Environmental Health and Safety at International Truck and Engine from January 1992 to January 1996. I was responsible for Environmental Permitting, and compliance. I also held a Registered Environmental Lobbyist in the State of Ohio. I am also responsible for OSHA Compliance and Safety and Security of the operation.

🎓 Education

Erwin Raphael has a B.S. in Chemistry/Math from The Ohio State University. Raphael graduated with a summa cum laude from The Ohio State University in 1986. After college, he worked for the American Rubber Company for four years. From 1990 to 1995, he attended the Ohio State University, where he earned his M.D. from the department of chemistry and math. Raphael then moved to Maryland, where he worked as an assistant professor at the University of Maryland from 1994 to 1996.

Erwin Raphael is known for his experience in the field of cost optimization. Raphael spent 5 years playing guitar in a religious congregation in California, before moving to the United States two years later to work for Hyundai Motor America. Here he became responsible for sales and marketing of Hyundai vehicles, as well as developing water quailty models and issueing NPDES permits. Raphael also developed specs for upcoming Waste Water Treatment Plants, and was also responsible for leading the company's warranty procedures.Raphael then moved to Genesis Motor America in February 2019 to take over the position of Executive Director.
