Chief Technology Officer, Co-founder @ Echo Labs develops technology that provides real time insight into the human body, by acquiring and analyzing physiological signals.
Thesis
Fitness and health wearables have huge potential for behavioral change but current execution is poor. User engagement drops significantly a few months after purchase, signaling that consumer benefits beyond novelty don’t exist. We believe that wide adoption of wearables requires closing a feedback loop: measuring relevant data and providing meaningful insights and recommendations that lead to results for the user.
Technology
We measure the most meaningful data – physiology. Instead of looking at health and fitness through the narrow lens of step counting, we take a holistic view of health by measuring the impact of daily choices directly in the body. We use optical sensors and spectrometry to measure and analyze biometrics in the blood flow, leading to unparalleled understanding of the user’s physiology, in real-time and regardless of external noise (movement, light, sweat, skin color). "Israel's top young minds are being identified and put to work early with the goal of introducing radically new ideas and concepts of operation that can be applied to rapidly changing threats and technological innovation. The program, called Talpiot, finds these youngsters with the same screening process that the nation uses to identify its elite fighter pilots. In this case, it is designed by the government to institutionalize creativity across the spectrum of military, political, industrial and intelligence organizations."
