After six months the owner walked away from the business requiring the senior executives and me to take control of the company, develop a strategic plan to sell the company and take the brand through a 90-day orderly chapter 11 process. We sold the company for over $63 million while taking comparable sales from -12% to +2% in seven months. From May 2009 to September 2010 (1 year 5 months) Vice President Marketing @ Red Robin As the company's lead marketing executive, directed all brand, marketing, advertising, communications, research, menu development and franchise marketing functions for a 350-unit casual dining, publically-traded restaurant chain with annual sales over $1 billion (NASDAQ: RRGB) From May 2003 to September 2005 (2 years 5 months) Vice President Marketing @ Sonic Drive-In As Sonic's top marketing executive, directed all brand, makreting, advertising, product development, resesearch, field marketing and franchise marketing for 2,600 unit quick service chain with $2.5 billion in annual sales (NASDAQ: SONC). Managed combined marketing budgets of $130 million. From May 1999 to May 2003 (4 years 1 month) Vice President @ Moroch Directed McDonald's Restaurants account including strategic planning, promotional development, point of sale, media, field marketing, public relations, local store marketing, sales/product mix, research, analysis and franchise/co-op relationships. Managed 30 markets in 13 states including 1,500 restaurants, 300 franchisees, six regional offices, three divisional offices with a staff of 60 in ten field offices.
