In fact many government agencies are using this as a form of cost effective and user friendly way of resolving differences. Successfully negotiated a $M1 investment over 5-years. From 2000 to 2000 (less than a year) Youth Development Coach @ Stephen provided coaching & mentoring to talented young elite players at Marconi who competed at the highest level of competition available in the State at the time. He specialised in young players between the ages of 13 to 16. Stephen has worked with a number players (when they were young) who have become well known and successful professional players. The most notable being Harry Kewell. Stephen took an exciting young team (U/14) which included Harry, on a playing tour of Europe, playing the junior team of AC Milan (Sportin' Milano), as well as the apprenticeship sides of a number of English Premier League clubs. This was the first time a young Harry had been out of Australia and perhaps, further whetted his ambition to become a full time professional player in Europe. Stephen recalls undertaking a number of 'success planning' sessions with a group of boys (including Harry) as part of a sport psychology session. It is interesting Harry has achieved everything he wanted to achieve (including milestones), prepared as his future 'vision', back when he was just 13 years of age. The last chapter for Harry in his professional career (according to his personalised Success Plan) is to see how he measures against up what he declared at aged 13-years ...as to what he would be doing in football when he becomes aged 40-years? I have already 'ticked all the boxes' from his Success Plan, of selection in State, and National teams (including captain), playing in the English Premier League (with specific mention "to play for Liverpool FC"). From 1990 to 1998 (8 years) Lecturer @ Lectured and subject co-ordinator fin the Faculty of Professonal Studies (Oatley) for: Sport Coaching Management of Sport (at post graduate level) Recreational Management Administration Management From 1995 to 1997 (2 years) Senior Consultant @ SMS Consulting is a major IT consultancy company that has many of the major banks as clients, together with, State and Federal Public Service departments. It has over 300 specialised IT consultants. Stephen is not an IT professional but rather provided critical analytical input as to the practical application of IT solutions from a general management and strategic perspective. In other words, the business case for investing (often times) millions of dollars into taking on the latest cutting-edge IT solution vis a vis continuation of the existing IT architecture & software; evaluating the cost of 'NOT doing' as compared to updating merely on the basis of being the 'latest'. Stephen provided a pragmatic business-investment approach and not a replacement approach merely because something 'better' exists. SMS were exceptional in their business ethics and practices, in not being aligned to any 'prefered' provider either for hardware or software and hence any conflict of interest. From 1995 to 1996 (1 year) Sydney, AustraliaManaging Director (Oceania) @ Bottom-line responsibility for the Umbro International business in the Oceania Region. Reported to US board of directors.
