Doug Cothern has over 15 years of experience in the private and public sectors working in information technology and services. He has worked in a number of different countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Ireland, and Sweden.Doug Cothern commenced his career in 1992 as a Development Manager for a software company. During his time with the company, he managed several projects including the development of a software application for a school district.In 2002, Doug Cothern joined Dynamic Book Trade Technologies as a Business Systems Leader. At DBT, he was responsible for developing and managing the company’s business systems. In this role, he was responsible for the administration, management, andplementation of the company’s business systems. Additionally, he was responsible for the design, development, and management of the company’s information technology including its information technologies charters and logos.In 2003, Doug Cothern transferred to Cummins Inc. as a Project Manager. At Cummins, he was responsible for the development and implementation of a wide range of new and existing Cummins products and services. In this role, he was a part of the team that developed and implemented the company’s business systems, information technology, and customer relationships.In 2007, Doug Cothern transferred to Arkansas Best Freight as a Project Manager. at Arkansas Best Freight, he was responsible for the development, implementation, and management of a wide range of new and existing Arkansas Best Freight products and services. In this role, he was a part of the team that developed and implemented the company’s business systems, information technology, and customer relationships.In 2018, Doug Cothern transferred to Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) as an Applications and Database Leader. At MTSU, he was responsible for the development and management of the university’s applications and databases. In this role, he was responsible for the design, development, and management of the university’s information technology including its information technology charters and logos.In 2021, Doug Cothern transferred to PepsiCo as a Applications and Database Leader. At PepsiCo, he was responsible for the development and management of PepsiCo’s applications and databases. In this role, he was responsible for the design, development, and management of the company’s information technology including its information technology charters and logos.
