💼 Past Experience

Diane Wittry left music school after one year to become a music teacher. After a few years of teaching, she moved to a small town in Pennsylvania and taught for 6 years before moving to Allentown to become a music director and conductor. In 2006, Diane WittryAssistant Conductor, St. Catharine's School of MusicI retired from teaching and moved back to Allentown to be an Assistant Conductor at St. Catharine's School of Music. There I accepted a position as an advisor on music education. After a few years of working as an advisor, I left St. Catharine's to become a music director and conductor at Allentown Symphony. I amorgregorous music director and conductor. My goal is to create a composer's utopia where the music is the star and the orchestra is the star. I hope to inspire youth to join the orchestra and to learn to love and appreciation music. Diane Wittry is a professional musician, music theorist, and educator.

Diane Wittry's educational background and work readiness for the conducting profession can be best described as rigorous. Diane Wittry holds a masters of music performance from the University of Southern California, where she studied under Stanislaus professor and conductors Dmitry Krainin and Санкт-Петербургская Государственная Консерватория имени Н.А. Римского-Корсакова. She also completed private conducting studies at the Russian Academy of Music in St Petersburg, working under legendary conductors such as Dimitry Nikolaev and Vladimir Von Neumann. Since her return to the United States, Diane has continued her focus on conducting with the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) and has served as the associate conductor of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, she is currently the assistant conductor of the Buffalo Symphony Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
