I have a lot of experience in architecting complex systems both on the software and hardware side that expect a lot of growth and traffic. I can do standard development and fit in with your process or I can come and lead your projects although I've mainly worked using versions of SCRUM and LEAN. Fine to work... 📖 Summary
I'm a competent developer/architect with 15 years experience. My main discipline is architecting and implementing systems using python and django (and all the supporting applications that usually go with them like gunicorn, nginx, postgres, memcached, celery, rabbit, etc, etc) I've done everything from simple stuff like my food blog to discussing multi-region rollout strategies on AWS with people like the BBC. I've worked on award winning projects for Nike and Getty at R/GA and developed platforms at Ostmodern while overseeing the digital output of the company as a whole. My two favourite projects to date are The Feed for Getty and BFI Player. The Feed was a social media channel for Getty which analysed social data from sources such as Twitter in near real-time and published relevant images from their image database. It has been patented in the US and has won many awards. BFI Player is the revamped online film rental service for the BFI. It is built on top of the VoD curation platform Skylark that we developed in-house at Ostmodern. I'm super enthusiastic about languages and American Football and I'm currently working out a way to make them a part of my work. I've been learning Korean for around 10 years, I've studied Japanese and Chinese sort of on and off in the same period and I'm studying a data science course so that I can find new and interesting ways to sift through all the data coming out of libraries like nflgame.Lead Programmer / Freelance @ I have a lot of experience in architecting complex systems both on the software and hardware side that expect a lot of growth and traffic.
