David Clarke is a former Lieutenant Colonel in the Canadian army, and has a B.A. in political science from the University of Colorado Boulder. After his military experience, Clarke worked as an opinion writer for local radio stations before starting his own political consulting business. In 2000, he ran for the Canadian federal senate as a Conservative and lost. However, Clarke has since focused on his electioneering career, and has since won threeaviour in the ridings of Calgary Southwest, Edmonton East and Calgary North.
