About Dan Leverington

đź“– Summary

I have shifted my focus from 360 degree Recruitment towards Start up Land, specifically offering candidates access to every opportunity online through adzuna, a search engine for jobs. At the heart of it is a belief that this is the best way to solve the disconnect between what candidates are best suited to, and organisations placing their ads in front of these candidates. By bringing all jobs from all corporates, recruitment agencies and job boards, we will aim to decrease the unemployment rate and ensure that skilled employees find the best job for them. By coupling my seven years of Sales experience (including three recruiting Electrical Engineers) along with a proven track record within Account Management and Business Development, I am excited to bring the recruitment industry into the future of sourcing.Senior Business Development Manager @ Our mission is to be the best place to start looking for a job. From August 2015 to Present (5 months) Senior Business Development Manager @ Working with Clients across Australia in the Infrastructure and Natural Resources industries, I was the Senior BD Manager for Progressive GE, responsible for all Transport, Oil & Gas and Mining client-facing requirements. My role was based on strong client relations, a clear understanding of their strategy as well as high-level market knowledge. These three pillars ensured that my Clients received the best advice, and that we achieved the optimal solution for their situation. From November 2014 to June 2015 (8 months) Sydney, AustraliaElectrical, Control Systems and Instrumentation Recruitment Consultant @ I specialised in working with Clients across the Natural Resources industries, specifically across Electrical, Control Systems & Instrumentation Engineering in Oil & Gas and Mining. I worked with both Design and Project Engineers across Operators, EPCs and Consultancies, consistently providing high quality individuals for long and short term contracts. My role demanded that I balance my time between Account Management, Business Development and sourcing the most suitable candidates for my Clients' requirements. It meant that I became a subject matter expert on who was involved across the Electrical, Control Systems and Instrumentation Engineering spectrum on the East Coast of Australia, adding value to companies and projects as they worked towards their completion date. My wider team worked across Mechanical Engineers, HSE, QA/QC, Drilling, Project Controls & Procurement, across both contract and permanent positions. From July 2012 to November 2014 (2 years 5 months) Business Development @ Assisting a Mining Services start-up. Project manager for website creation, conducting market research and implementing communication channels throughout the company. From October 2011 to June 2012 (9 months) Wine Broker/ Senior Wine Broker @ Direct & Telephone Sales, Customer Relationship Manager, Dispute Resolution. Ensuring efficient customer service objectives were met while selling high-end value Australian and European wines to clients nationwide. This involved building and acquiring a strong and loyal client base of 700+ high-end buyers through thorough note taking and only suggesting wines of targeted interest. As a team leader managing 15 staff members on Saturdays, successfully delivered team and personal targets. From March 2009 to October 2011 (2 years 8 months) Public Relations Internship @ I was responsible for Database Management, organising meetings with journalists and arranging product launches. These included Toshiba, Panasonic and Microsoft. It was a great insight into marketing and PR, and proved that I enjoyed working in a Business to Business environment. From July 2007 to November 2007 (5 months) Gap Student @ This year away from Australia offered the opportunity to expand my understandings and experiences, both in England and Europe.
