💼 Past Experience

Claudio Pinheiro has a degree in electrical engineering from Instituto de Radio engineer of Brazil (IREB), and he completed his post-graduate studies there with a Master degree in Computer Science from the University of Surrey. He was also a research associate at the University of Southampton from 2006-2007, and a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Utah from 2007-2010. During his post-doctoral studies he studied machine learning, data analysis and business intelligence. He then started working as a data scientist at IBM in 2010, where he achieved influential and world-recognized results in these areas. Pinheiro then moved to the IBM Red Hat division, where he led the development of Predictive Analytics products. He then rejoined IBM in Canada in early 2016, where he was responsible for the cloud solution architecture efforts at the company. In this role, he developed and supervised theetitive licensing for big data products, as well as managed the worldwide big data deployment. He also served as a member of the executive committee of the Canadian Big Data Enterprise Forum. In summer of 2017, Pinheiro was asked by the Brazilian company Keyrus to become the head of the Predictive Intelligence Solutions team. At Keyrus, he was responsible for the development of new big data products, as well as the incompetent management of the company’s data warehouses. In this role, he was also a frequent speaker at importantrendezvous of the Brazilian big data industry and participated in the development of an investigative article about the company. During his time at Keyrus, Pinheiro was also a jury member for the Brazilian Master’s degree in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (MBAi-5), which he received in 2018. Claudio Pinheiro has a significant knowledge of SQL, analytics, SAS, and business intelligence tools, and he has been writing code for over twenty years.
