💼 Past Experience

Clara's first job was as a graduate teaching assistant in the 8th grade at Lighthouse Springs Elementary School in Mobile, Alabama. After the school closed for the year in 2003, she continued her position as a graduate teaching assistant until she left for my first job as a human resources manager at a company I knew nothing about. It was at this company that I learned how to manage people and can say with certainty, this was my introduction to the strategic and operational management of people. I quickly discovered that I loved this job and was able to grow with the company, eventually becoming their HR Manager. As their HR Manager, I had the opportunity to develop HR processes specifically related to 401k plans and change management, evaluate and recommend best practices to the application of human resource systems and policies, and resolve organizational capability issues and to proactively identify opportunities that align with business needs. I also had the opportunity to engage and influence senior management to support and implement HR initiatives across the organization. I believe that my skills as a HR Manager will benefit Southwest Airlines and their employees in the future.

🎓 Education

Clara Foriest's education and work readiness are based on her previous education and experience. Clara Foriest has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Anthem Institute-Las Vegas in 2000. From there, she worked for two years as a Business Administration and Management teacher before transitioning into a management consultant role. Clara has practiced management consulting since September of 2007.
