Chrissie Lightfoot began her legal career in 1998 as an Assistant Chief Assistant District Attorney in the Department of Justice. She then worked as an Assistant US Attorney in the District of Columbia, rising to Legal Assistant to the US Attorney. In 2006, she became the Associate Deputy Attorney General in the Department of Justice, responsible for the Organized Crime and Corruption Bureau. From 2009-2013 she was the Deputy Director for Legal Affairs in the Office of the Deputy Attorney General.In 2014, Chrissie Lightfoot became the Executive Director of the Digital Print Direct Ltd. She was formerly the Managing Director of Townsites.co.uk Limited. She was first introduced to the legal system through her schooling, where she studied at Nottingham Law School and at Nottingham Trent University. She then completed a course at Sheffield Law School, in which she studied human rights law. She then completed a course at Leeds Beckett University in ICT and Legal Ethics, in which she studied political and constitutional law. She finished her course with a degree in law, which she received from Durham High School.
