📖 Summary
Business Systems Manager @ From May 2015 to Present (8 months) Product Owner / Delivery Lead @ • Responsible for defining, managing and delivering the backlog for a product stream within a large programme. • Working with the development team and by using agile principles, I developed an iOS app and web app to be used by colleagues in M&S stores. Through constant communication with stores I am delivering improvements to the apps every fortnight to address any suggestions or problems that have arisen. • Fully embraced the concept of Minimum Viable Product to get a solution out to colleagues in stores early so as to get quick feedback and identify any issues. • The programme is currently exceeding all expectations and is responsible for adding an incremental £150k to M&S sales each week with our trial stores. We are now aggressively rolling out to further stores to realise increased benefits. From April 2014 to April 2015 (1 year 1 month) Delivery Lead @ • Responsible for building and developing the first agile product team within M&S IT into a fully self-sufficient development team. • Transitioned development of our Demandware platform across our international sites from a third party off-shore supplier to an in-house development team. • Through my leadership, the development team now has a proven track record of deploying code to production every sprint and delivering true business value. • Completed and passed the scrum.org accredited Professional Scrum Master 1 qualification From May 2013 to May 2014 (1 year 1 month) Project Manager @ • Delivered multiple cross functional projects on the M&S international websites. • Key achievements were to launch a transactional M&S ecommerce site for two new countries, introduction of a new payment method to seven countries and introduction of a new delivery proposition for our French website. • Utilised my strong organisational and communication skills to manage multiple offshore remote third party teams to deliver complex requirements within defined time limits. • Due to the size and nature of the international website business, I worked closely and gained real knowledge of the trading, marketing, business development, payments and fraud and logistics aspects of a multichannel retailer. From October 2012 to May 2013 (8 months) London, United KingdomBusiness Systems Analyst @ • Currently work within a large, international cross functional programme. • Within the programme area, I manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously. Recent achievements include leading integration testing both in the UK and international environments and creating a new support team for recent programme system deliveries. The work involved establishing the team’s defect resolution processes within established Tesco support structures. To accomplish both projects, I led colleagues from across different teams to deliver a cross cutting solution, successfully managing the expectations of varied stakeholders, and in the process utilising my leadership, interpersonal and project management skills. • I am seen as an expert in my subject and am assisting other business functions, both in the UK and internationally, in their development and deployment of related systems and business processes. From August 2011 to October 2012 (1 year 3 months) Marketing Project Manager @ After being promoted, I worked in the marketing department for a 6 month placement. During my time in the department, I managed a number of large cross functional projects that are to be delivered to Tesco's international businesses. For this work I had to work with stakeholders from various streams from across the wider Tesco international business including colleagues from China, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Thailand and Malaysia. From January 2011 to July 2011 (7 months) IT Graduate @ IT Graduate Scheme. During the graduate scheme I worked in Architecture, Business Analysis and Project Management Roles across the Architecture and Retail streams of the IT department. After 18 months on the 24 month graduate scheme, I was recognised for my achievements and promoted to the next work level.
