💼 Past Experience

I started my career at the Population Council in 1990 as a senior associate. I worked in a number of programs at Population Council, including reproductive health, interventions research, expansion of contraceptive choice, gender and development research, and institutional strengthening. In addition, I established the Council's program office in Vietnam and directed Southeast Asian activities of the Horizons project.

🎓 Education

Chris Elias has a MPH from University of Washington from 1988 to 1990 and a MD from Creighton University from 1975 to 1983. He currently has a Clinical Chemistry at the University of Iowa which he completed in 2017. before coming to the University of Iowa, he completed a residency in Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.He is Board Certified in Clinical Chemistry and has experience in global oncology.Chris has worked as a post-doctoral fellow in the areas of Clinical Chemistry and Pathology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2009 to 2017, and as a research associate in the Division of Pathology at the University of Iowa from 2017 to present.His research interests are in the areas of Clinical Chemistry and Pathology, and he has published a number of papers in these areas. He is also a member of the scientific staff of the Inhalation and Encephalopathology Research Program at the University of Iowa.
