đź“– Summary
Product Manager @ Splice.com Greater New York City AreaProduct Engineer @ Yieldmo I lead the product management and development of the auto bidding system. This system is used by account managers to automatically optimize advertiser's portfolios. I was in charge of designing new features and implementing them using Java. From August 2015 to December 2015 (5 months) Greater New York City AreaEngineering Intern @ Yieldmo I managed the design and execution of the automatic bidding feature that optimizes an advertiser's portfolio. This bidding feature runs every day and adjusts bid prices for advertisers based on their goals as well as the previous performance of the bids. In addition to code refactoring and testing, I designed and coded new features that included auto pausing of bids, auto adding of newly suggested bids, and a portfolio approach method to bid management. I used Java in order to develop the system and SQL to access the databases. By the end of my internship, 10% of revenue for the company was relying on my system for daily use. From June 2015 to August 2015 (3 months) Summer Analyst @ Goldman Sachs I joined the Funding and Liquidity Execution team, which manages and moves liquidity across the firm. I increased the scalability of the securities and cash movement program by creating an interpreter that automatically inserts expressions into the system from a given text file. This file of expressions eliminated the need to manually enter code, thus reducing possible human error and allowing for the quick addition of new expressions. I Utilized C++ and the in-house Pledge and Realignment Instruction Manager to complete the project. From June 2014 to August 2014 (3 months) 200 West St, New York, NYSummer Intern @ S&P Capital IQ I worked with the Real Time Services team, which is tasked with providing timely and current market data to clients. I Improved the user-friendliness of the alerting system by creating a graphical user interface for setting alerts. This prototype was poised to replace the outdated system which used forms and drop-down menus to create alerts. I used existing JavaScript libraries to create the interface and Java to connect to real time market data. From June 2013 to August 2013 (3 months) New York, New YorkProduct Manager @ Yieldmo Lead product development of Yieldmo’s Ad-Serving and Programmatic team. Key products include:-“Auto-Bid,” applying optimization techniques reducing time and effort spent by the account management staff. The product currently services 52% of impressions delivered by Yieldmo, representing 30% of the company's total revenue.-“New Category Discovery,” allowing marketers to automatically advertise on new publisher pages, reducing time for operational staff by up to 10%. -“Open RTB,” ensuring specifications that comply with industry standards allowing over 10 programmatic partners to buy inventory.Coordinates cross-team dependencies within the product organization. This includes the company-wide rollout of client-side impressions affecting how each delivered ad-unit is counted. Uses Agile methodologies and continuous deployment in order to deliver software in a timely manner. Manages JIRA board and communicates product feature timelines on a biweekly basis. Onboards and integrates third-party clients into the Yieldmo programmatic system. Develops relationships with DSPs and negotiates technical details of each integration. From January 2016 to July 2017 (1 year 7 months) Software Engineer at the Salzberg Computational Biology Lab @ Johns Hopkins University Worked with Dr. Steven Salzberg and other lab members on expanding the StringTie RNA Assembler's approach to using super reads. We attempted to increase the accuracy of the program through additional de novo assembly steps. From September 2015 to December 2015 (4 months) Johns Hopkins Medical SchoolCourse Assistant for Compilers and Interpreters @ Johns Hopkins University Graded student implementations of a high-level imperative language compiler. From January 2015 to May 2015 (5 months) Course Assistant for Object Oriented Software Engineering @ Johns Hopkins University Graded assignments that pertained to common design and methodologies for large software systems. From September 2014 to December 2014 (4 months) Course Assistant for Introduction to Java @ Johns Hopkins University Graded assignments, oversaw labs, and held office hours for up to ten hours every week.
