This job has given me experience working with the physical hardware in a datacenter, upgrading and maintaining software used by other Marist employees, such as MediaWiki servers, GLPI inventory servers, and Puppet device management servers, in a safe way that does not disturb the people who use these services on a daily basis.
I am currently working on a password management system that allows Marist students, faculty, and staff to reset their password without contacting Help Desk. This new system uses a token reset system (via text message or email) as well as a security question to create a secure, two-step password reset system that will greatly reduce the number of calls that Help Desk receives.
