• Piloted New Hire Orientation/Welcome package using company device (N800 Linux Tablet) to provide rich multimedia orientation and repository for new hire information. From April 2003 to July 2009 (6 years 4 months) Area Benefits Manager @ Responsible for the strategic direction of Nokia's health, welfare and defined contribution programs for approximately 6,600 employees with an impact on 25,000 lives covered by the plan. Managed the vendor selection process, contract negotiations, and service quality to sustain a high customer satisfaction level. Served as Chairman of the 401k committee and as Nokia's Chief Privacy Officer. Managed P&L responsibilities for a budget that exceeded $60 million dollars. Achieved 97% online enrollment rate, eliminated all non-mandatory mailings, and a 97% online satisfaction rate in a company where 10% of the company's workforce does not have access to a PC as part of their job function. Responsible for reducing the 2003 plan year from as expected $8 million increase to $3 million. The cost avoidance was achieved ed through contract renegotiation, vendor changes, plan design and increased employee copays. Successfully led implementation of Nokia's first Consumer Driven Healthcare Plan. From September 2001 to May 2003 (1 year 9 months) Dallas/Fort Worth AreaCompensation and Benefits Manager @ Responsibilities included management of $110m USD payroll, Employee Services, merit & bonus cycles, wage surveys, performance management training and other related duties. • Development of job hierarchy for Factory personnel prior to implementation of SAP global HRIS system.
• Five year plan for sourcing and development of manufacturing talent. From March 1994 to February 2000 (6 years) Site HR Manager @ Provide all Human Resources support functions (excluding payroll) for over 220 employees. Duties included recruitment/ selection, new employee orientation, drug testing, terminations/ separations, workers’ compensation, working with the Texas Employment Commission, investigating employee grievances, maintenance of all employee records, and EEO reporting. Performed job analysis interviews, and developed job descriptions, according to Americas
with Disabilities (ADA) format. Selected pre-employment tests based upon KSA's identified
in job descriptions. Performed validation study to assess test's ability to predict on the job
performance. Wrote guidelines and instructions for future application of the tests. Submitted
technical report detailing study methodology, validation results, and limitations of study to
