His role included Sales, Marketing and team management for new business development resulting in order intake in excess of £300m. From January 2007 to December 2009 (3 years) London, United KingdomBid Director and Account Director Metropolitan Police @ Bob successfully led the CUBIT bid team to win the 7 year Outsourcing contract worth in excess of £350m alongside partners BT and Unisys. Signed in Dec 2005, the contract was one of the first complex Public Sector Competitive Dialogue procurement deals in the UK. Bob went on to be the Account Director successfully managing the transition of the existing service providers ATOS, EDS and Damovo along with the transfer under TUPE regulations of over 300 people. Having been transferred 13 years earlier under TUPE himself, Bob personally worked with his transition director Ray Murrell to create the right conditions for successful transfer. Working with the Met Police during this time was one of the proudest periods in Bob's career. Bob became a Vice President of the charity Crimestoppers during this time personally raising valuable funds with various events including a 3Peaks charity walk with work colleagues raising over £12000. From 2004 to 2007 (3 years) London, United KingdomHead of Marketing, Offer Devt, Alliances and Analyst Relations Outsourcing Services @ With the creation of Global Outsourcing under Hubert Giraud, Bob was given responsibility for the broad portfolio of Business Development, excluding Sales. This started with a complete refresh of the Applications Services portfolio, working with Francois Labesse and Rosemary Stark, and progressed to the creation of a portfolio of BPO services which has become the cornerstone of the business led by Hubert today. Bob was a key player in the development of Capgemini's Distributed Delivery model "Rightshore" first using the phrase in analyst briefings to describe how the right mix of locations, resources, skills and price all combined to create a proposition for Outsourcing contracts.
Bob transferred to the UK OS Business to lead Marketing and Offer Development activities and was responsible for the development of the offshore support teams for KM and offer support working with Sales Director Frank Foy.
