From 1995 to 2003, he was a Professor at Purdue University, where he currently serves as the Chair of the Computer Science Department. From 2003 to present, he is a professor at Northwestern University.Bob Bonomo's notable teaching positions include starting the Computer Science Department at Northwestern University in 2003, and continuing to teach there until his retirement in 2016. In his eight years as a professor at Northwestern University, Bob Bonomo has helped create a strong and well-renowned computer science program. In his most recent resignation from his position as the chair of the Computer Science Department at Northwestern University, he said that while the field of computer science is “growing and changing rapidly,” he remains deeply passionate about the subject and remains a dedicated teacher.Bob Bonomo has seminal research accomplishments in the area of computer science, with over 20 papers and a number of patents to his name.
