For a business to endure and thrive, it must embrace economic, social, environmental, occupational, and risk challenges with a view toward making life better for its customers, workforce, stakeholders, investors, and society. This business approach to sustainable excellence is defined by many organizations based on their risk appetite, tolerance, and attitude and provides and a common thread to promote trust, integrity, transparency, and commitment. Consider how risk governance, sustainability, six sigma, best practices, and social responsibility can enhance your business. As the economy shifts paradigms, we are taking on more cases to assist ligation of occupational disease. Currently we are working on written opinions cases involving breach of contract due to microbial growth, diesel fumes and dioxin/furans resulting in cancer and death in railroad workers. Past performance includes risk register and evaluation for mercury, asbestos and lead-based paint contamination in historical buildings, building related illness and indoor air quality of residential and commercial structures, building design/construction related to water intrusion and microbial growth within the building envelope and lack of maintenance that creates odor issues. We help clients with OSHA regulatory compliance, conduct routine industrial hygiene testing for air and surface contamination, develop written policy, programs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), provide training and education to workers and their supervisors, and help companies define ways to limit their legal liability and increase profitability through improved safety culture, climate, and behavior. We stood up a practice to align occupational and environmental health and safety (OESH) with sustainability, social responsibility, and risk governance for companies seeking to enhance profitability, culture, branding, and market share. Our goal is to provide business value for our trusted OEHS services at an affordable price.Managing Partner @ From January 1990 to Present (25 years 10 months) Offices in New York, NY and Washington DCSenior OSH and Risk Consultant @ From January 2010 to July 2012 (2 years 7 months) Arlington, VACorporate Industrial Hygiene Manager @ From November 1987 to May 1993 (5 years 7 months) Health and Safety Supervisor @ From April 1985 to November 1987 (2 years 8 months) OSHA Industrial Hygiene Compliance Officer @ From January 1976 to August 1983 (7 years 8 months) Doctoral Candidate @ Suffield University From 2009 to 2013 Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) @ Portsmouth College From 1985 to 1985 Master of Science @ University of Oklahoma From 1983 to 1984 B.Sc. @ Northeastern University From 1974 to 1979 Bernard FAIHA is skilled in: Sustainable Development, Social Responsibility, Risk Governance, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, Occupational Health, Indoor Air Quality, Asbestos, Construction Safety, Industrial Engineering, EHS, EPA, Hazardous Waste..., Safety Management..., Environmental Health, Industrial Safety, Environmental..., Environmental Awareness, Environmental Consulting, Remediation, Risk Assessment, Behavior Based Safety, Accident Investigation, Sustainability, ISO 14001, HAZOP, Hazardous Materials, Inspection, Hazard Recognition, Training, Program Management, Hazard Analysis, Environmental Compliance, Water, Hazard Identification, Safety Engineering, Environmental Impact..., Fire Safety, Policy, Workplace Safety, Process Safety, Environmental Auditing, Auditing, Incident Investigation, Emergency Management, Waste Management, Construction, Iso 9000, Investigation, Risk Analysis
