🎓 Education

Beril Sirmacek has a two-year habilitation from the Institute for Geoinformatics and Remote Sensing at the University of Osnabrueck, Germany. Following this, she received her Master's degree from the same university in electrical electronics engineering, with distinction. She then completed her BSc degree in electronics and communication engineering from the Yildiz Technical University in 2003.Since her graduation, Beril Sirmacek has been working as a research engineer at a think tank in Istanbul,Turkey. There, she is currently a research associate at the Department of Earth Science and Technology at the University of Istanbul. Additionally, she has been working as an attendee at the Foundations and Practice of Earth Science and Technology (SEPM) Master’s Course in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.Beril Sirmacek has a keen interest in research, which is why she has been assigned to work on several researches in her current position at the University of Istanbul. She is also highly position-aware, as she has been working with different research teams over the past few years. Her research interests lie in wireless remote sensing and its application to environmental monitoring and assessment, terrestrial and celestial mapping, LED technology for smart environment, and solar irradiance estimation.
