Senior Software Engineer and Eng Manager and Tech Lead (TLM) at Google Ideas. Google Ideas is a think/do tank that explores how technology can enable people to confront threats in the face of conflict, instability and repression. We connect users, experts and engineers to research and seed new technology-driven initiatives. Google Ideas was founded on the principle that the next five billion to come online will face far greater human challenges than the first two billion.Software Engineering Manager and Tech Lead @ From May 2014 to Present (1 year 8 months) Greater New York City AreaSenior Software Engineer and Tech Lead @ Worked at Google Memory team with Craig Nevill-Manning, connecting Knowledge Panel on Search to Google Now notification flow. Lead and launched "Keep me Updated" feature which introduced a personalized news card on Google Now for Google's 15th Birthday. You can now let Google know what (entities) you are interested in, and Google will discover and bring the most interesting articles and updates to your Google Now app on Android and iOS. For many verticals including notable people, you can save them directly from Google's search page, and we will find the most interesting articles and deliver it to you on Google Now. Prior to this feature, my team and I have worked on launching Reminders for Google Now. For example, search for "Father's day 2013" or "Gravity Movie Release Day" and Google will offer you the ability to set a smart reminder for it which will notify you in Google Now. My work required constant deliberation with Android's Google Now and Google Research. I spent time on creating and designing new features, devising ways to implement them, and engaging in actually building the feature. Our features span many core technologies from backend to frontend, including machine learning.
