💼 Past Experience

In my roles as Solutions Architect and Solutions Development Manager, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of big data projects, from small data deployments to distributed production deployments. I am comfortable working in a wide range of development frameworks, including Hadoop, HBase, Pig, IBM BigInsights, IBM Infosphere Streams and Cassandra. I have also had experience working with a variety of data representation formats, from plain text to the "could be RDF" (our custom way of representing it) formats. I am also familiar with graph databases and text analytics tool frameworks like Neo4J and Titan.My particular strength lies in my ability to work with customer technical resources to devise and recommend solutions based on the understood requirements, and to help ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the Cloud platform. I am also comfortable working with Hortonworks’ teams at all levels, to help ensure the success of project consulting engagements with customer, as well as being current in capturing and sharing best-practice knowledge amongst the community.Most of my time is spent working with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates. I am a hands-on guy who still puts himself in the shoes of the code user. My job responsibilities include providing guidance and assistance to customer technical resources, developing and testing solutions,Documenting and presenting complex architectures for the customers technical teams, working closely with Hortonworks’ teams at all levels to help ensure the success of project consulting engagements with customer, and helping design and implement Hadoop architectures and configurations for customer.In my previous roles at Tata Consultancy Services and Cloudera, I barnstormed the market speaking to customer teams and consulting with them to learn their real-world needs. I have also written and produce significant technical documentation and white papers for these companies. I have also worked as a programming assistant at OPS India and ThinkForce Software Solutions.

Arun K has a Master of Technology (MTech), from SRM University. He has also completed his B Tech, from Cochin University of Science and Technology. He completed his XII, from Chinmaya Vidyalaya. Arun K is currently a KMEE (Key Member, Teacher Education and Development) at Chinmaya Vidyalaya.
