Growth Marketing @ Canva is a graphic design platform that empowers people to design. We recently raised our third round of funding: 15m Series A and have grown from from 1.8m users in January to 6m in October. A few recent projects I've worked on: 1. Building a customer acquisition pipeline: Wrote copy & managed a team who worked on various SEO projects. In 11 months, these generated 2 million new users. (55% of Canva's organic growth) 2. Content Marketing: Recruited and managed a team of writers that grew Canva’s content marketing blog Design School more than 400% to 700 monthly uniques. (and growing!) 3. Email Marketing: Wrote and set up drip campaigns to launch Canva’s premium product Canva for Work. Email converted 83% of subscription upgrades in the first month of launching. 4. Launch PR: Worked on a launch strategy for Canva for Work that drove 200k preregisters. 5. Relationship Building: Building relationships with writers, bloggers and businesses to facilitate joint partnerships and content campaigns. Currently working on: Retention and activation. From October 2014 to Present (1 year 3 months) Sydney, AustraliaEditorial Assistant @ Indesign is Australia's leading publisher of architecture and design titles across the Asia Pacific region. I worked across the Habitus and Indesign print titles, and contributed content to indesignlive.com. Reporting to several senior editorial staff, my duties included sourcing and writing stories, coordinating content and photography, editing content, freelance administration, and representing the company brand at design related events. From April 2014 to September 2014 (6 months) Sydney, AustraliaRadio Journalist @ 2SM Supernetwork is a commercial radio station that broadcasts to Sydney, northern New South Wales, and southern Queensland. I worked in the newsroom as a reader and editor. In this position I would write, edit and voice on average 50 news bulletins per day. This included conducting numerous interviews with high profile talent, attending press conferences, and editing stories in news boss and audio editor. From January 2014 to May 2014 (5 months) Sydney, AustraliaFeature Writer @ Scoop Publishing produces nine leading magazine titles in Western Australia. I began an internship at Scoop in July 2013, and was later asked to stay on as a freelance features writer.
