In addition to her work on opossums, Angelina is investigating the aging process in mammals through immunohistochemistry techniques applied to bat liver samples. By employing SOD1 as a primary antibody marker, she is contributing to a deeper understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying aging, which has significant implications for both veterinary and human medicine.
Angelina's passion for science is complemented by her commitment to community involvement, particularly in mentoring youth. She believes in the power of education and outreach to inspire the next generation of scientists and healthcare professionals. Her strong communication and interpersonal skills enable her to effectively engage with diverse audiences, fostering a collaborative environment in both her research and community initiatives.
