💼 Past Experience

It has been many years since Alex has worked in the area of cybersecurity and identity and access management. As Head of Cyber Security at HSBC Germany, he is responsible for safeguarding HSBC's information systems and ensuring that customers are protected when engaging with the HSBC network. He also leads the implementation of HSBC's Identity and Access Management strategy.Alongside his role at HSBC, Alex also takes on responsibility for the overall IT-Security management of the company's German subsidiaries and providing support to customers through their use of the HSBC platforms. In his previous roles, Alex has been a delegate for the Cyber Security Leader Award finalist, Industry of Banking and a speaker at senior business-wide events.His talks and workshops cover a wide range of topics, fromIT-Security tips for small businesses to more advanced topics such as how to protect yourself from data breaches. Alexandros Manakos holds a B.A. from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in 2007. He then completed his studies at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, earning his Master's degree in 2011.Manakos has worked several positions in his field of work readiness, starting with a position as an instructor at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria then later as a research associate at the University of Applied Sciences Lower Austria. He currently holds a position as a research associate at the University of Applied Sciences Lower Austria.During his work readiness studies, Manakos developed a course on work readiness for University professors. He also published a research paper on "The Twelve Words of Work readiness" in the journal "Work for All".Manakos is currently working on a course on work readiness for University professors which will be released in the near future. Manakos is also currently working on a research paper on "The Twelve Words of Work readiness" which he is scheduled to submit in the near future.

Mr. Manakos has over 15 years of experience working in the software development and IT field. In his previous roles, he has worked as a Senior IT-Audit Manager at HSBC, as a Speaker and Trainer for Cybersecurity and Identity and Access Management at Multiple Companies, as a Cyber Incident Response Advisor at HSBC, and as the Head of IT-Security Germany at HSBC. He holds a degree in computer science from the Friedrichs-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from INRIA - a joint venture between the University of Naples - Napoli and the University of Alcatraz.
