Alex Cooke has a BMus from the University of Surrey where she studied Music with a focus on Jazz and Blues. After completing her education, she worked as a Jazz Composer and sound engineer before landing her current role as the sound engineer at Thecreative.co.uk.Sharing her story of her education, Alex explains that part of her impetus for pursuing a music degree came from necessity as she was always targetting to freelance as an Musician and wanted to have the ability to record, tour and perform at a high level."While I loved studying music at university, I knew I wanted to do something even more challenging and wanted to work with music technology in some way. I discovered sound engineering and after registering with Adecco Sound @ University, I started learning as soon as I could."Now, I'm very happy to have completed my BMus and I feel very lucky that Adecco Sound @ University was a great place to learn. I've since moved up the ranks and now work as the sound engineer at The Creative.co.uk, which is an amazing opportunity and a great challenge."While my education has taught me a lot about sound engineering and the nuts and bolts of recording, touring and performing, it's also highlighted my capability as an artist and developer of music software. I feel confident that I can do anything in the music industry and would love to continue developing my skills."Today, Alex Cooke is a Sound Engineer using very latest technology for her work. She is passionate about learning and pursuing new challenges and, as a result, is very well-read in music software and technology.
