Adiba Barney has been involved in many different projects at different organizations. Adiba Barney has a degree in International Marketing from Mälardalen University. With this degree, she unfocused in her educational objectives that then led to her current occupation. In her days as a student, Barney faced many challenges in terms of her work readiness. She had to learn new concepts quickly and grapple with creative problems. As a result, she was not able to meet her full potential as an executive. Currently, she faces many challenges in her professional development as she must face the same challenges again in order to meet her career ambitions. Despite her many challenges, Barney is determined to achieve her career objectives. Adiba Barney has been in the field of Communication and PR since she was a young girl. In her late twenties and early thirties, she started working as a Project Manager at a technology company. She soon became frustrated with the lack of progress in the Breast Cancer Research Industry, so she decided to start METAVIVOR RESEARCH AND SUPPORT INC., a non-profit organization that helps cancer patients and their families. Adiba Barney is a Board Member and Founder at METAVIVOR RESEARCH AND SUPPORT INC. and a Patron of METAVIVOR. She has also worked as a Communication & PR Coach and Consulting (founder) at Startup Communication from November 2008 to January 2014. In her previous work experience, Adiba Barney has played a significant role in raising money for breast cancer research grants, promoting technology and innovation in the field of communication and PR, and helping the business growth of smaller businesses.
