Adam Lefevre

Adam Lefevre is a dedicated and experienced firefighter paramedic with a deep-rooted commitment to public safety and community service. As a second-generation firefighter, Adam began his journey in emergency services at the age of 18 as a volunteer, which laid the foundation for his extensive career. For the past decade, he has proudly served the City of Freeport, where he has honed his skills and expertise in various aspects of firefighting and emergency medical response.

Adam's career trajectory has been impressive, starting from the role of a firefighter riding backwards in a job seat to obtaining his state paramedic license. His four years of experience on an ambulance have equipped him with invaluable hands-on experience in emergency medical services, allowing him to deliver high-quality care in critical situations. His educational background, including an Associate’s degree in Fire Science from Rock Valley College, complements his practical knowledge and enhances his ability to respond effectively to emergencies.

In 2020, Adam was instrumental in the implementation of the First Due Size Up software, a significant advancement in the department's operational capabilities. This project involved developing pre-plans and conducting inspections, which have improved response times and situational awareness during emergencies. His expertise in pre-incident planning and fire prevention is further underscored by his skills in community connect initiatives, which foster stronger relationships between the fire department and the community it serves.

Most recently, Adam has been focusing on enhancing scheduling and personnel management within the department, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to meet the demands of the community. His proficiency in pediatric advanced life support (PALS) and rescue operations underscores his commitment to providing comprehensive emergency care.
