Information
Urban Smalls brings an edgy, laid-back look to youngsters' wardrobes everywhere. What started as trendy baby gifts has evolved into a trend-forward, proud-to-be-me kidswear collection spanning infant through tween. Our rough'n'tumble kid-tested garments are made from only the softest fabrics and withstand the hand-me-down test of time. Urban Smalls is proudly manufactured in Guatemala. Our products are made in Goodkraft, our 60-person factory in Antigua, Guatemala. The guaranteed salary of a Goodkraft production team member is 45% higher than the local market wage, 200% higher than China, 300% higher than Nicaragua, and 600% higher than Bangladesh.* We also offer various incentive-based bonuses throughout the year as well as benefits such as free transportation to and from work, a zero-interest personal loan program, 12 weeks of maternity leave, and training and certification programs paid by Goodkraft. All of the custom-made fabrics used in Goodkraft products are sourced with US-grown cotton or polyester. We use a sustainable model for sourcing local fabrics by purchasing production overages from large factories called "upcyling". Without this secondary market these fabrics would otherwise end up in landfill.
