Loudoun Christian Justice Mission

Loudoun Christian Justice Mission (LCJM) provides non-denominational Christian spiritual assistance to prisoners, returning citizens and their family members. Volunteers conduct Bible studies, Life Skills and Recovery programs at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. We engage in faith sharing, encouragement, visit one-on-one with inmates needing spiritual guidance, as well as Reentry Planning and Mentoring. LCJM regularly provides and donates publications, bibles and class materials to prisoners at the Loudoun County ADC. Bible studies and classes are conducted about 25 times per week and are made available to male and female prisoners in both English and Spanish. In partnership with Prison Fellowship (PF), PF employees are LCJM Bible Study Volunteers that conduct a Biblically based Life Plan curriculum using PF’s evidence based Cognitive Behavioral methods to more comprehensively prepare prisoners for successful reentry. Life Plan series includes courses like Developing a Positive Reentry Plan through Goal Setting and Walking in Victory Over Doubts and Temptations. The curriculum promotes active participation using handouts, and provides Certificates of completion. LCJM also offers a Mentor Reentry program to all eligible prisoners at the ADC. We provide Christian mentors to help prisoners successfully transition back into the community after release. The mentors meet one-on-one to encourage and assist prisoners, both before and after release, to become and stay strong spiritually, to build constructive lives, and to find social services they may need. Our newest program implemented is Celebrate Recovery, a Biblically based 12 step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, pain or addiction of any kind. Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to find community and freedom from the issues that are controlling our life. In addition, LCJM provides Chaplain services to prisoners in need of guidance or spiritual assistance.
