Sapient provides discovery as a service to biopharma, non-profit, and academic organizations. Sapient’s biomarker discovery platform enables nontargeted, large-scale small molecule biomarker profiling (“metabolomics”) to rapidly probe the biomarker landscape of health and disease. Our platform combines next-generation mass spectrometry technologies – able to assay 11,000+ metabolites per biosample (cellular, preclinical, or human) – as well as advanced biocomputational / statistical approaches and a reference Human Biology Database of 100,000+ biosamples already analyzed on our mass spectrometry systems. Together these approaches enable rapid identification, validation, and translation of small molecule biomarkers of biological processes, disease mechanisms, and drug responsiveness across all drug development phases – from large-scale untargeted discovery screening through development of targeted, quantitative CLIA assays.
