Herlong Architects + Interiors is a Charleston-based residential architecture firm specializing in luxury custom homes, coastal residences, and high-end interior design throughout the South Carolina Lowcountry and beyond. For over 40 years, our team of architects and interior designers has collaborated under one roof to create homes that are both timeless and deeply connected to their surroundings. From Kiawah Island and Daniel Island to Sullivan’s Island and Mount Pleasant, our work is rooted in an understanding of coastal environments, architectural precedent, and the lifestyle of each client. Our integrated approach allows architecture and interiors to be considered simultaneously—from the earliest concept through construction—resulting in homes that feel cohesive, intentional, and enduring. We are known for designing custom waterfront homes, estate residences, and second homes for clients who value discretion, craftsmanship, and a highly guided process. Whether evaluating a property prior to purchase or leading a full custom home design, we bring clarity, experience, and a steady hand to every phase of the project. Our goal is to set ourselves apart through our pursuit of excellence in architecture and interior design, and in the entire conduct of our business. As a firm we strive: -To create without boundaries by listening without bias -To design for endurance through technical excellence -To foster success by leading with insight -To protect and enrich the quality of life within the built environment Our mission is to design beyond our clients' expectations. In doing so we are confident our homes will be a source of pleasure, pride and a lasting investment for their owners.
