Patricia Groenen is responsible for the molecular testings in the molecular pathology laboratory. Her special interests include molecular testings in hematopathology and in farmacogenomics for prediction of personalized treatment options for patients with (solid) tumors. The focus in academic research is on the molecular basis and characterization of lymphomas and the implications for early diagnosis, prognosis and translational medicine.She was involved in developing and testing of the BIOMED-2 clonality assays and introducing these assays in the pathology laboratory. She is the initiator and organizer of the international BIOMED-2/Euroclonality workshop: “Clonality assessment in pathology”, given annually in Nijmegen for pathologists and molecular biologists.
