About Us The Toli Wekka Campaign is a comprehensive initiative aimed at addressing the significant gaps in mental health care in Uganda. Mental health remains a critical yet under-addressed issue in many communities. The "Toli Wekka" (You Are Not Alone) campaign is dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues, reducing stigma, and increasing access to mental health services. Vision: Thriving, mentally healthy communities . Mission: To break the silence surrounding mental health issues in Uganda, reduce stigma, and provide practical solutions to improve mental well-being. Target Group: Youth, Schools & Educational institutions, Parents and Guardians, Corporate organizations, and community and faith leaders & influencers across Uganda. More About Our Solutions: ✔ INCREASED AWARENESS: Through educational materials, radio skits, and our podcast, *Wellness Tea Time with Dr. Rita*, we aim to close the knowledge gap and promote understanding of mental health issues. ✔ REDUCED STIGMA: Using personal stories from campaign ambassadors, we aim to increase understanding of mental health and mental illness. These stories are powerful tools that chip away at the stigma, which is a major barrier to seeking help for those affected by poor mental health. ✔ ACCESS TO RESOURCES: The Toli Wekka digital mental health screening app and our Goldminds program along with other online resources enable diverse groups to access services and support. ✔ MENTAL HEALTH REFERRAL NETWORK: Toli Wekka is working with various mental health providers to build a robust nationwide mental health referral network. As we create awareness, the emerging demand for mental health services must be met with high-quality care. Toli Wekka-affiliated providers are vetted to ensure that they are qualified and properly registered to provide top-notch services. ✔ COMMUNITY SUPPORT: Encouraging collective action from various sectors to create a robust support system for mental health.
