Szerelmey was founded in 1855 and is one of the oldest established restoration and new build specialist contractors. Between both sides of our business, we can fulfil most projects from refurb, restoration and retrofit to brand new envelopes and internals. We are committed to excellence in every project we undertake. Restoration, refurbishment and retrofit - we carry out a full range of restoration works including detailed surveys, cleaning, repair and conservation of historic building envelopes, and full repair and refurbishment of interiors. This extends to structural alterations to listed and unlisted historic buildings and façade retention schemes either in situ or dismantling and rebuilding. New Build – we deliver full building envelopes including all secondary supporting structures, calcs, cavity build up and barriers – we are fully accredited fire barrier installers. Our internal work extends through flooring including full build up, screed, pedestal, underfloor heating, to bespoke staircases, wall cladding, hung ceilings, bathrooms, pools and spas. Additionally we undertake complex hard landscaping, water features, terraces, paving, furniture and planters. Design – 15 in house highly experienced designers who specialise in finding solutions to complex design challenges. Materials – stone, precast, GRC, brick, render, terrazzo, faience and terracotta, glazed basalt, ceramic tiles and mosaics. Sustainability – we are members of Circularity In Practice, are Carbon Neutral and are actively engaged in advising clients on best sustainable practice and options in their design.
