The Post Oak School is an independent school in Bellaire and Houston, Texas, serving students from 14 months through high school. Post Oak is authorized as an IB World School to offer the IB Diploma Program for grades 11 and 12. One of the U.S.’ oldest Montessori schools, Post Oak is an educational leader both among Houston’s top private schools and among the more than 5,000 Montessori schools across the country. We have attracted an accomplished team of faculty and staff and built two campuses dedicated to learning. Students at each level benefit from carefully prepared environments including a second campus dedicated to adolescent development that accesses partner institutions in the Museum District, Texas Medical Center, and downtown. As life-long learners, our students develop academic, social, and entrepreneurial skills that help them pursue their passions and live a purposeful, successful life. The Post Oak School has operated continuously since 1963 and is a non-profit corporation. With a faculty and staff of 95 and student enrollment of over 500, we provide a culturally diverse student population with a comprehensive Montessori education steeped in AMI heritage and fully accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) and at the high school level, by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).
