NCDSM owns Fer à Cheval, the oldest soap factory founded in 1856 and located in the heart of Marseille. It has been since making the genuine Marseille soap in traditional cauldrons, passing on the ancestral know-how from generation to generation. It is today one of the very last manufacturers in France of the tradional Marseille soap. Fer à Cheval is the founding member of the UPSM, the Union of Marseille Soap Professionals, which promotes the traditional Marseille soap. NCDSM has a second business unit in detergency and can design new applications of detergents for professionals. The company has 40 employees, 5 own brands (Fer à Cheval, Le Marseillois, Econet, Neo'Kleen and Clean'Surf) and more than 200 references in the catalog.
