Kopernik is 100% employee-owned. The firm was founded in July 2013 by Dave Iben, the Managing Member and Co-Chief Investment Officer. Kopernik was built on the same investment philosophy and time-tested investment process that Dave Iben has been successfully developing over his 44-year career. As of March 31, 2026, Kopernik has 46 employees and manages approximately $10.3 billion (managed and advisory-only) across global and international equity strategies.
